Marilyn Gelzhiser

Marilyn’s mission is to create places that are in harmony with nature and cherished by the community.  Marilyn is a landscape architect and planner devoted to a collaborative design process and specializes in integrating site and building design, native and naturalized landscapes and campus landscape architecture.  Marilyn’s design for higher education, K-12, health care and elder care projects is informed by the belief that building design and site layout should evolve together for an optimal project that balances function, aesthetics, and cost.

Campus landscape architecture, the planning and design of outdoor spaces and landscapes, is a focus of Marilyn’s work. The ‘connective tissue’ of a campus, its gateways, paths, vehicular circulation, quads, plazas and courtyards, has the potential to create a unique identity that instills life-long memories and experiences.
